2017-2018 Reflections Theme: Within Reach
Do you see a budding artist, musician, photographer, poet or dancer in your child? If so, encourage them to enter Reflections this year.
There are six categories they may create and submit works of art in:
- Arts Categories: 2017-2018
- Dance Choreography
- Film Production
- Musical Composition
- Visual Arts
- General Entry Information: 2017-2018
Guidelines for each specific category are in the Reflections Rules link above.
***The National PTA Special Artist Division is an option for students with a disability as defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
You can enter as many works in as many categories as you like. The General Entry form must be completed for every entry no matter which category(ies) you choose.
Deadline: NOVEMBER 1, 2017

Do you enjoy reading and helping children excel in school? Then Wells Book Buddies’ is the place for you! Book Buddies listen to 1st and 2nd grade students read and help them strengthen their reading skills. Our Book Buddies include parents, grandparents, high school students and community members. You don’t need to have a 1st or 2nd grader at Wells, ANYONE can volunteer!
The education of parents is an important role of the PTA. We bring in multiple programs each year that all parents are invited and encouraged to attend.
SAGE (Special and Gifted Education)
In August 2004, the Plano ISD Council of PTAs created the Special and Gifted Education committee, commonly referred to as SAGE. The purpose of SAGE is to provide education, support and communication to the families of children with special needs, accounting for approximately 25% of the students in Plano ISD. Whatever the challenge, from ADHD to giftedness to Down’s Syndrome, all of these students have special needs and that translates into families who have special needs. Wells Elementary Book Fairs
The Fall Book Fair is Oct 30th – Nov 6th.
The Spring Book Fair is April 11th – 15th.

Family Spirit Nights
Join us with your family at a variety of local restaurants that we’ve got lined up! Meet staff members, chat with classmates and support Wells. 10% – 20% of all purchases made will be donated to Wells PTA. As an added bonus, it’s a dinner you don’t have to cook!
